The seat pan has gotten primed. It is the biggest part I have sprayed myself so far and I found it easier than painting small parts. The pan after painting. Nice and shiny now, isn’t it.

The cover doesn’t have the same pattern as the original, but it is close enough. More pictures of the patterns when I start work on the seat later some time, there are many other things that are more urgent than the seat.

The seat is not as bad as I feared, but the foam and cover has to be replaced, obviously.

At the rear of the seat there is the bracket for the seat lock. In the background you can see my service manual.

The front mounts of the seat is dampened by the rubber part on the far left. So it’s not only the foam seat that cushion my bottom when I hit the potholes. Luckily I am good at avoiding them.
