Before
I was looking through my photo albums one day and found this photograph from the summer of 1996. The colors are a bit wrong but it is nice and shiny. This was back in the days I was still using the bike for trips and therefore has mountings for luggage mounted on it.

Today I delivered the tank, front fender, side covers and the rear cover to paint. This was too important to get right for me to do it myself.

I’ve finished the front rim today. Now it is cleaned, polished and cleaned again. I didn’t take a note of how long I used on this, but I would guess I used about 8 to 10 hours on it. Maybe because I was trying different methods in the beginning. The rear rim is actually looking [...]

Here you can see how bad the rims are. Polishing them will be a nightmare, so I’m thinking about getting them blasted with glass.
