Carburettors removed

The air filter box and carburettors have been removed, there is no turning back now.

The rear axle is removed, note the worn steel around the lock screw. Also the rim is in a really bad state.

A new jack

Bought myself a motorcycle jack, but this jack is more suited for bikes that does not have the exhaust under the engine. I could not use it before I removed the exhaust pipes.

Looking into the exhaust port reveals a lot of sot and clogging. This has not been inspected since I bought the bike in 1995. Notice the bumblebee stuck in between the ribs, poor little thing.

Dirt and rust

Here you can see what this poor bike looks like after so many years. I am not referring to the lack of cleaning, but the rust that has taken home on all the parts seen here. The paint is also so worn that it has lost all “gloss”, thus attracting more dirt and almost impossible [...]

Exhaust pipes

The exhaust pipes was the first to come off. They have a lot of rust in the chrome, but I am hoping that I don’t have to buy new ones. They are very expensive compared to the exhaust system of a car.
