I have a great wife, she lets me use the dishwasher machine to clean motor parts. Here is the lower half of the motor block after one cycle in the dishwasher. The next pictures shows the motor in different angles. As you can see it actually isn’t clean, but now the whole thing has been [...]

The seat pan has gotten primed. It is the biggest part I have sprayed myself so far and I found it easier than painting small parts. The pan after painting. Nice and shiny now, isn’t it.

I’ve been searching the internet for an easy way of removing carbon deposits on the valves and in the cylinder head and on the top of the pistons. The first results just in: Soaking in WD-40 is no good! The carbon that you see has come off came off when I put the valve spring [...]

I decided to change the liquid I had in my parts washer with White Spirit, Mineral Spirit in USA. I am glad I did. White spirit is so much better as a cleaning fluid than the environmentally friendly organic degreaser fluid I had been using so far. I just have to tolerate the smell and [...]

This is one caliper after glass blasting, some scuff marks was suddenly more visible. Some surfaces has been masked for painting. Just going to wipe it off with spirits before paint. Glass blasting was very fun, it was very effective at removing paint, but the metal was not pitted or anything like that. Even blowing [...]

Cleaned the brake disks. The only thing I will do to these is to make the black areas shinier.
